For us, there is no better feeling than finishing a run with muddy legs and dirty shoes – the UK is blessed with so many amazing woods, forests, lakes, heaths, moors, highlands and mountains – get out there and explore them! Not only that, it is good for you as well – trail running uses more muscles than road running, it spreads the load over different muscles, it boosts mental wellbeing and it burns more calories per hour than road running.

Please note: This is a natural wood product and so no two medals are the same. Your medal is therefore unique to you and may have slight colour variations from other medals.

I completed this challenge by walking through woodlands. The Woodland Trust do such good work so it is good to support them. The medal is made of wood from a sustainable source and it’s lovely – it has animal footprints around the back of it! I chose to do this challenge because of the charity it was supporting, and having received the a lovely medal was a bonus
